Mike Conroy, Acting Executive Vice-President, People and Partners
Mike Conroy is the Acting Executive Vice-President, People and Partners, responsible for Human Resources, Communications and Community Engagement groups. This portfolio will ensure our people have the supports they need to achieve success. Previous to this appointment, Mr. Conroy served as the Exective Vice-President of Corporate Services.
Prior to joining Alberta Health Services, Mr. Conroy was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Vancouver Island Health Authority for over four years, with responsibility for the full continuum of health care services and support services. Mr. Conroy has also served as a Vice President with the former Calgary Health Region (CHR) where he was responsible for a wide range of health promotion, disease prevention, community and acute care services.
Mr. Conroy has an undergraduate degree in Commerce from the Royal Military College of Canada, and a graduate degree in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. He has also completed the Queen's University Executive Program, and Harvard's Health Service Excellence Program.
