Sturgeon Community Hospital

Architectural drawing of the Sturgeon Community Hospital redevelopmentThe Sturgeon Community Hospital’s redevelopment project will redevelop the Outpatient department and improve access to the building through three distinct entrances – Emergency, Main Hospital and the Clinical Services Building. These changes will also improve parking at the site.

The project will make it easier for patients and visitors to find their way into the building and to locate programs and services.  The redeveloped main lobby will have a definable front entrance and dedicated space for Admitting will improve patient confidentiality.  The project will also create a new, more functional space for the Health Records department and the Hospital Foundation.

The redeveloped Emergency Department opened in December, 2010, doubling the site’s current capacity and includes a new Ambulance Bay.
