Occupational Health and Safety
Alberta Health Services is committed to the health and safety of our employees. The role of Occupational Health and Safety is to support all employees and to provide each employee with health-care services that contribute to a safe working environment and healthy lifestyle.
Services include primary care, health education, immunizations, incident/occurrence reporting and monitoring, staff advocacy, health and safety audit programs, and injury prevention. Efforts are made to promote workplace safety and employee well-being through various practices including the work of the Occupational Health and Safety committees and relevant Human Resources policies.
Workplace Wellness
Many of our sites offer workplace wellness committees, which work collaboratively to promote and support a work environment that contributes to the mental, social and physical well-being of all employees.
