North Zone - Slave Lake Staff Update
May 20, 2011
As we move into Restoration and Recovery, Alberta Health Services is beginning to plan for a phased in resumption of Health Services to the community of Slave Lake. We are in the early stages and decisions regarding both the timing and level of service resumption are being made based on a number of factors. We will be contacting certain staff members to assess both their willingness and ability to return to work.
We appreciate and understand that many people will have a desire to return to work, to help rebuild their community, and start the healing process. Although work opportunities will be limited, we expect resourcing needs to increase as we move through the phases of restoration. We encourage staff to call into the intake number to provide contact information and let us know if your situation is such that you have the ability to work.
- General Intake Line – 1-855-350-3164 (Toll Free) or 780-350-3164

- Jacquie Wolff, HR Advisor at 780-350-3165 (Westlock/Athabasca/Boyle) or email Jacquie.Wollf@albertahealthservices.ca
Salary continuance is in place, so this means Slave Lake staff will continue to be paid for their regularly scheduled shifts until further notice so that they suffer no loss of regular earnings. This will be reviewed weekly as more information becomes available.
