Update on former Premier Ralph Klein

CALGARY - On behalf of the family of former Premier Ralph Klein, Alberta Health Services today is releasing the following information regarding his care.
Mr. Klein will soon be released from hospital where he is being treated for issues associated with his previously-disclosed conditions of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) and aphasia.
Mr. Klein will move to a continuing care facility where he can continue to receive care in dealing with these health issues. It is hoped that after this transition period, Mr. Klein can return home.
On behalf of the Klein family, Colleen Klein again wishes to express her heartfelt thanks to Alberta Health Services, and specifically the wonderful staff at the Rockyview General Hospital, for the outstanding care he received during his hospitalization.
Privacy is again requested by the family at this time.
