CALGARY — To support cancer patients and their families, Alberta Health Services (AHS) offers a variety of education sessions, including classes, to help patients gain strength through exercise and diet.
Eating for your life – The best nutrition for people with cancer
This session will help you discover foods that will give your body the greatest fighting strength and maximize the benefits of your cancer treatment. Learn how foods can help you manage side effects and get the latest information on meal supplements and ready-made meal options. A registered dietitian will be on-hand to answer your questions.

Exercising for your life – How to start an activity program to help you cope and survive
Find out how exercise helps your body kill cancer cells. Learn which physical activities will help most and how to start or improve an activity program. Get helpful instruction from an exercise specialist from the University of Calgary.
